Mr Piero Crivellaro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public affairs and policy within the financial services and fintech sectors. Currently serving as the Corporate Group Head of Public and Regulatory Affairs at Nexi Group since January 2023. Mr Crivellaro is responsible for global government relations and advising C-Suite executives on regulatory, business, and reputational matters.
In addition, he is a Board Member of the European Central Bank's Digital Euro scheme’s Rulebook Development Group and serves as Vice President of ItaliaFintech, an association promoting innovation in the fintech industry in Italy. Prior positions include leadership roles at Amazon and Mastercard, as well as experience in public policy and economic affairs at various organizations. Mr Crivellaro holds degrees from prestigious institutions such as the Harvard Kennedy School, London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Bologna.
Mr Leonardo Azevedo Mitchell is a Brazilian/Italian legal expert currently serving as Head of Public Policy at Teya. He has a competition policy background and a law degree from the London School of Economics.
Mr Ali Mazanderani is a member of our board of directors, a position he has held since 2018. He is the co-founder and chairman of Teya and a non-executive director of a number of other financial technology companies. Mr Mazanderani was previously a Partner at Actis, a leading growth market Private Equity company. Before Actis, Mr Mazanderani was the lead strategy consultant for First National Bank and prior to that, he advised private equity and corporate clients for OC&C Strategy Consultants.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pretoria, a Masters in Economics for Development from Oxford University, a Masters in Economic History from the London School of Economics, an Executive MBA from INSEAD and an Executive Masters in Business Law from the University of St Gallen. Mr Mazanderani also serves in the board of directors of Teya Ltd., Net1 UEPS Technologies, Inc. and Thunes Ltd.
Mr Paolo Bertoluzzo is the CEO of the Nexi Group which, since July 2021, following two major corporate mergers, now also includes Nets and SIA. Previously, he served as CEO of the ICBPI Group from 2016 and as CEO of CartaSi. From 1999 to 2016 he worked at Vodafone, becoming Group Chief Commercial and Operations Officer in 2013. Before that, from 1995 to 1999 Mr Bertoluzzo worked at Bain & Co and, from 1990 to 1994, as a consultant for Monitor Company. Mr Bertoluzzo holds a degree in management engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan and an MBA from INSEAD.
Mr Pierre-Antoine Vacheron has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Worldline, a European leader in payment services, in March 2025.
Mr Vacheron has been serving in the Payments industry since 2009, when he joined Ingenico, first as CFO, and as Deputy CEO in charge of Merchant Services. Between 2018 and the beginning of 2025, he was the CEO of BPCE Payments, the payments arm of Groupe BPCE, one of the leading retail banks in France and in Europe.
Before entering the Payments industry, he had extensive experience in finance across various industries such as Retail (Etam) and Aerospace (Airbus Group - 1998-2004). Mr Vacheron began his career at the French Treasury, after graduating from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration. Mr Vacheron is a board member of the non-profit association La Source Garouste, founded by artist Gerard Garouste to help children in need through exposure to art and creation.
